The Sportsman block is the same block casting and as the Street/Race block except it is fully water-jacketed. Designed for 1100 HP.

• Bore size is 4.356” (ready for 4.360” hone), but capable of 4.500” bore diameter with a nominal .150” wall thickness
• Standard heavy duty valley tray and accepts any 10-Bolt BBF cylinder head
• Fully water-jacketed design; allowing coolant to pass between the cylinder bores
• Crankshaft main caps #1 - #5 are ‘nodular’ cast iron, 4-bolt and press fit; Splayed caps #2, #3 and #4
• Main caps secured with Grade 8 bolts and hardened washers (can be upgraded to ARP hardware
• Main caps have hollow dowels to ensure proper location and alignment, after caps have been removed
• Cam housing bores machined to 2.250” diameter, thus accepting standard Babbitt (slider) cam bearings
