The ‘Diesel’ block is designed to be a cross between the Industrial and the Premier blocks where high compression under constant duty operation is expected. The ‘Diesel’ block has been the foundation for Hydrogen and Ammonia (NH3) engines.

  • Bore size is standard (4.360”) and capable of up to 4.500” bore diameter with a nominal .150” wall thickness
  • FULL-WATER JACKET design, allowing coolant to pass between the cylinder bores
  • Designed with a larger water jacket than any OE version, for additional cooling under constant duty applications
  • Crankshaft main caps #1 - #5 are ‘nodular’ cast iron, 4-bolt, press fit and secured with ARP studs
  • Designed to accept 18-bolt BBF heads with the correct angle at inside four bolt locations (10-bolt heads will work also)
  • Cam housing bores machined to 2.250” diameter, thus accepting standard Babbitt (slider) cam bearings
